Soma Okoye is a  graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Drama.

During her time at NYU Soma specialized in Musical Theater, Experimental Theater and, Screen Acting and was part of a select few to travel to Southern India as part of Theater Mitu's Acting Intensive and again to Germany, to participate in the F.I.N.D Theater Festival at the Schabunne in Berlin.
